John on kuulus rokkstaar, kes sureb keset kontserti ja ärkab nirvaanas. See on koht, kus ta peab silmitsi seisma oma soovide ja tegudega.

John, a famous rockstar, dies during a live gig with his band and awakes in nirvana. There he has to face his wishes and deeds.

Jan Koester (s.1978) on sündinud Saksamaal Berliinis. Aastal 2006 lõpetas ta õpingud animatsiooni erialal HFF Ülikoolis Saksamaal Potsdamis. Varem on tal valminud kaks lühifilmi “Herbst”(2000) ja “Müsli”(2002). Jan on teinud ka installatsioone.

Jan Koester (1987) was born in Germany Berlin. In the spring of 2006, he graduated from the University HFF in Potsdam, Germany where he majored in animation. He has done two short films “Herbst”(2000) and “Müsli” (2002) and also some installations.

Noor kokk Don on töösõltlane, kelle ainsaks eesmärgiks on anda oma spetsiaalsele firmaroale “La Zoupa” täiuslik hõrk maitse, mis liigutaks inimesi pisarateni. Kui tema ülemus Santano end ühel päeval vigastab, tuleb Donil vastutav töö köögis enda peale võtta. Kui kohale ilmub ka restoranikriitik, avaneb noorel kokal elu suurim võimalus. On vaid üks probleem: samaks õhtuks lubas ta oma tüdrukule erilise sünnipäevaõhtusöögi valmistada.

Don, a young sous chef, is addicted to his job. His only goal is to perfect his speciality, a soup “La Zoupa”, the mere taste of which can move people to tears. One day his boss Santano injures himself and Don has to take charge of the kitchen. When a restaurant-critic appears, the young sous chef is given the chance of a lifetime. There is only one problem: he had promised to cook a special birthday meal for his girlfriend that same night...

Sven Bohse (s. 1977) õppis Tuebingeni Ülikoolis filosoofiat ja saksa kirjandust. Enne re˛iiõpinguid Baden-Württembergi Filmiakadeemias, töötas ta re˛issööri assistendina. “Õige kogus” on Sveni lõputöö.

Sven Bohse (b. 1977) studied philosophy and german literature at the University Tuebingen and worked as a first-aid attendant and director’s assistant prior to studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. “The Measure of Things” is his graduation film.

Elu ligitõmbavad ja eemaletõukavad pooled. Ettekandja Sonjal on halb nädal. Äsja jagas ta intiimse hetke prussakaga, pärast seitse aastat kestnud suhet on ta poiss-sõbral raskusi voodielus, ta peab olema ettekandjaks oma endiste boyfriend’ide pulmas, parimad sõbrad uhkeldavad tema nina all oma täiuslike suhetega ning tema poiss-sõber veedab parema meelega aega oma wannabe valge räpparsemuga. Sonja teeb suhte päästmiseks ja poisi tähelepanu võitmiseks veel viimase katse, võttes ette kummalise retke magnetmäele.

“Magnetic Poles” is about life’s attractions and repulsions. Sonja, a cater waiter, is having a bad week. Her most recent intimate moment is with a cockroach, her boyfriend of 7 years seems to be losing his ability to hold out in the sex department; she is catering a wedding of her ex-boyfriends; her best friends flaunt their perfect relationship in her face and her boyfriend would rather spend time with his wanna-be white boy rapper buddy. Realizing her relationship is in trouble she seeks to re-attract her boyfriend by shaking up their normal life with a bizarre trip to a magnetic hill.

Maria Rosenblum lõpetas Benningtoni Kolled˛i humanitaarteaduste bakalaureusekraadiga näitlemise ja valguskujunduse erialal. Hiljuti läbis ta UCLA filmire˛ii magistriõppe, mille jooksul valmis tal viis filmi. Tema kõige viimane film “Magnetpoolused” võitis Brooklyni rahvusvahelisel filmifestivalil lühifilmide publikuauhinna.

Maria Rosenblum attended Bennington College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in acting and lighting design. She recently graduated from UCLA’s MFA program in film directing. While at UCLA she wrote, directed, edited and produced five of her own films. Her most recent film “Magnetic Poles” won the audience choice award for the best short film at the Brooklyn International Film Festival.

Kui 12aastane Mark avastab uppunud lamba, kogeb ta traumaatilist meeldetuletust oma venna surmast. Kannustatuna vihast leinava ema vastu, kes ei pane poja tundeid tähele, hävitab Mark pühapaiga, mille ema oli teinud lahkunud venna toast.

When twelve-year-old Mark discovers a drowned sheep he experiences a traumatic reminder of his brother’s death. Driven by anger at his grief-stricken mother’s inability to recognise his suffering, he destroys the shrine-like sanctuary she has created in her deceased son’s room.

Nicholas Davies on sündinud Kesk-Walesis Newtownis, kus ta elas kuni 2003. aastani. 19aastaselt hakkas ta mängima klahvpille ja laulma, 25aastaselt aga alustas lavakunstiõpinguid. Aastal 2003 kolis Nicholas Cardiffisse ja asus õppima Walesi Rahvusvahelises Filmikoolis.

Oskari Korenius (s. 1982) on sündinud Soomes. Juba varases lapsepõlves huvitus ta lavakunstist ja muusikast. Lapsena õppis ta klaverit, näitlemist ja ka mustkunsti. Lisaks näitlejatööle hakkas teda huvitama kino ning ta ühines kohaliku kinoklubiga. Pärast keskkooli lõpetamist asus Oskari õppima  Walesi Rahvusvahelisse Filmikooli Cardiffis.

Nicholas Davies was born in Newtown in Mid-Wales and lived there until 2003. At the age of 19 he started playing the keyboards and singing backing vocals. When he was 25 Nicholas enrolled on a performing arts course. In 2003, he moved to Cardiff to study film making at the International Film School of Wales.
 
Oskari Korenius (b.1982). From a very young age, he has been very passionate about the performing arts. As a child he studied classical piano, acting and performing as a magician. After acting in various theatre productions, Oskari became interested in cinema and joined a film club where he started  making short films. After graduating from high school, Oskari left Finland to study film-making in Wales.
