Founder-Director of Osian’s-Cinefan, the Festival of Asian Cinema in New Delhi, and Founder-Editor of Osian’s-Cinemaya, the Asian Film Quarterly Aruna Vasudev is also founder and president of the international Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC). She has a PhD from the University of Paris on censorship and cinema. Author of two books on Indian cinema she has edited and co-edited several books on Indian and Asian cinema.
Jeffrey Jeturian studied broadcast communication at the University of the Philippines. Moving straight into film business he worked as a production assistant, production designer, scriptwriter and director. All his films have been critically acclaimed and favoured by the audience. His seventh and latest feature “The Bet Collector”, which screens at BNFF this year, won FIPRESCI Prize at the Moscow International Film Festival.
Mark Soosaar graduated as cinematographer from Moscow VGIK in 1972 and went on working in the Estonian national television channel as a cinematographer and director. He has made numerous documentaries, both while working in Tallinnfilm Studios 1978-1991 and as a freelancer. He currently heads a one-man production company Weiko Saawa Film and the International Documentary Film Festival in Pärnu, which he founded in 1987.
Shawn Pinchbeck is an electroacoustic music composer. Since 1984 he has been actively performing, releasing recordings, curating festivals and concerts. In the 90’s he continued to compose ambient electronic music for CD release and film projects. His recent works have included interactive audio installations, CD recordings, multi-media, interactive audio and video performances, film soundtracks and software design.
Krzysztof Wierzbicki has studied English and Sociology at the Warsaw University. He worked for years as an assistant director to many eminent Polish directors in Documentary Film Studio in Warsaw. Wierzbicki assisted Krzysztof Kieœlowski with all his documentaries and some of his features. Since 1977 he has directed and written more than 50 films, mostly documentaries.
